Bluezone is an application released by the Department of Computerization of the Ministry of Information and Communications, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health of Vietnam, only for Android and iOS to track contacts and warn people infected with COVID-19 uses the BLE protocol. The application was developed by Bkav Joint Stock Company, and was introduced and released on April 18, 2020 by the Ministry of Information and Communications and the Ministry of Health of Vietnam.
HOW IT WORKS ?
The app will generate a temporary, anonymized temporary ID over time that is used to statistic and record the interactions between people who have Bluezone installed. When two users of the app pass by for a distance of 2 meters, the app uses a low-energy Bluetooth signal between devices over time to estimate the proximity and record the contact history between the two. use. Information about this distance is stored on the phone, not on the server, not in location.
